A Saturday Night In The Purple Room (1999) captures MattLok at his peak as resident DJ inside the legendary Purple Room at Revolution Nightclub in Waterloo, Ontario. Every Saturday night became a local destination where the Toronto underground spirit met Kitchener-Waterloo nightlife, as MattLok and Isaac S brought the energy of the Toronto Raves and clubs like The Guvernment, System Soundbar, Industry to the region. From West Coast house, funky disco, Chicago jackin’ grooves, French touch, DJ Sneak classics, and early techno sounds from Richie Hawtin, this set reflects the fearless musical range that earned MattLok his spotlight. Featuring his own intro production from Four01 Recordings alongside staples connected to Stickman Records and the Play De Record era, this mix is a true snapshot of a scene, a sound, and a movement.
